Stars and Stripes Thank You Card

Stars & Stripes Thank You Card

Happy Fourth of July! A big Thank You to all those who have served and are currently serving our Country.

With the wonderfully long holiday weekend, My mom and I were able to get a few cards done! It was super fun having a crafting weekend. So, here is another card  Inspired by Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog's theme: Add Some red/white/ and/or Blue and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Theme: Stars and Stripes. My mom wanted to say thank you to all who have served in and are currently serving in the Military.

Here is the card:

She started with a 8 1/2" x 11" navy blue cardstock to cut for the card base.
She cut the cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored the card in the middle at 4 1/4".

My mom cut the stripes out of red cardstock from Stampin' up's Stripes & Swirls die cut set and the swirl from blue cardstock. Then glued down to the white background for the front of the card.

The Star was die cut from silver metallic card stock and dark navy blue and white cardstock for the tag. The silver embossing powder for the "thank you" sediment. Silver thread was glued down behind the star.

For the inside of the card, a white base cut to 5 1/4" x 4" and stamped stars with silver ink.

And that's it!

We hope you feel inspired to create something, even if it only takes 5 minutes!
