Christmas in July: Set of Four Christmas Cards - Merry Christmas Card

Christmas in July: Merry Christmas Card

What would a craft and art blog be without a "Christmas in July" post? Well my mom and I decided it would be fun to do a few cards featuring Christmas in July along with Lawn Fawnatics Blog Challenge #177 Christmas in July Theme. I will talk about the products I used to make all four cards below.

I used green and red card bases for the cards. I cut out paper from red, white and green cardstock and red, green and cream flannel from Lawn Fawn's Favorite Flannel Petite Paper 6x6 pack. I used Spellbinders Rainbow Slice Tunnel Etched Dies to make the tunnel effect. It was actually my first time using them and I loved them! I have some more practice and learning using them but I thought it was such a neat effect on the cards. Simple and easy enough.

I used Tim Holtz Holiday Sketchbook Stamp set for the Christmas scenes and sentiments, Tim Holtz Chipped Sapphire embossing glaze, and Tim Holtz Distress Spritz - Peacock Feather and Fossilized Amber.

Here is the first of four cards: The Merry Christmas Card:

.....and that's it!

  1. The black and white squiggles are quite striking against the red. Thanks so much for playing with us at Lawn Fawnatics!
