A "Gnomie" Summer Vacation Card

A "Gnomie" Summer Vacation Card

Hello all! It has been a while since we have been able to post. Summertime means lots of outdoor work, gardening, painting, cleaning, etc.  So, our crafting time is limited. However, my mom and I were both able to sneak in some crafting. I won't be posting any of my projects just yet, since they are incomplete. My mom was able to complete 4 cards. This card is one of the 4.

Here is the fun fold card:

This is how she did it:

My mom started with teal card stock cut to 5 1/2" x 6 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". The designer specialty paper is the Ombre selection of the Craft Consortium Craft papers. For the inside it was cut to 4" x 5 1/4" and for the outside strip it was cut to 2 1/4" x 5 1/4"/ The light tan cardstock strip was cut to 3 1/2" x 10 1/2" and scored across the top at 2", 3", 5 1/2" and 8". The white cardstock that the gnomes were stamped on were cut: the one front piece cut at 1 3/4" x 3 1/4" and the four inside pieces were cut to 2 1/4" x 3 1/4". You can also cut a white piece of cardstock for the very back of the card to write on if you would like.

She used Trinity summer gnome fun clear stamp set. She colored the gnomes using Tim Holtz watercolor pencils and inks including gathered twigs, broken china, walnut stain and speckled egg. She also used glitter gel pens for their swimming googles and sunglasses, Rainbow Gem Stickers, and a light green thread for the sparkly final touches.

And that’s it! Happy crafting to you all! We hope you feel inspired to create something and if you can, craft with your family and/or friends and make some fun memories together!

  2. Those beach going gnomes are so much fun, Sabra, and I love how you did a fun-fold card to display them all. The sentiment is right up my pun loving alley. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Time Out.
