Flower Thinking of You and Thank You Card Set
My family enters in the Eastern Idaho Fair Flowers, Agriculture, Arts, Crafts, Fine arts, and Hobbies departments and a few others. We love our flowers we have grown this year and are excited to enter them. We love growing veggies, fruits and flowers every year. Inspired by our flowers and Simon Says Stamp Card Kit of the Month - the month of August, I decided to make a few flower, floral, blossom cards. I hope you like and are inspired by them.
This post will showcase a set of three cards. Keep scrolling for the "how to's" and pictures!
I tried to use as much of the paper from the kit as possible without wasting the bits. So I made 2 cards with the same paper one on a teal card base and the other one on a dark blue card base. I also had this red card base that I wasn't sure what do with and I found a piece of paper form the kit that really brought out the red and pink tones in the paper with the red base.
I stamped and embossed the sentiment and flowers on the first two cards with Tim Holtz distress embossing glaze, and the the red card base was embossed with a pink-purple embossing glaze from our collection. The sentiment's, paper, and flower stamps are all from the card kit.
I stamped and embossed the flowers on the first two cards and then when they were dry and cool I used the new Tim Holtz distress spritz (which I was super excited to try out) that was in the card kit. I loved how they turned out!
I then fussy cut out the flowers and used the foam adhesives in the kit to elevate the flowers and give the card dimension. I also used the beautiful Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Buttercup die that came in the kit and used that on the inside of the card. I spritzed it inside the card.
Here are the cards.
The first one (teal card base):
The Second one (dark blue card base):
The Third one (red card base):
.....and that's it!
Happy crafting to you all! We hope you feel inspired to create something and if you can, craft with your family and/or friends and make some fun memories together!
