A "Mer-mazing" Birthday Card
Hello all! It has been a while since we have been able to post. Summertime means lots of outdoor work, gardening, painting, cleaning, etc. So, our crafting time is limited. However, my mom and I were both able to sneak in some crafting. I won't be posting any of my projects just yet, since they are incomplete. My mom was able to complete 4 cards. This card is one of the 4.
Here is the card:
This is how she did it:
My mom started with dark blue card stock cut to 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2". She used a rectangle nesting die cut set. She used a light muted seashell designer paper and a teal card stock. Cutting out alternating paper with the sizes of rectangle die cuts large to small. She used 2 of the 2 smallest to make the inside and outside sentiments of the card. Using foam adhesives to put the die cut rectangle layers (the front 2 layers) to add dimension thicker ones for the first and thinner foam adhesives for the 2nd layer. She used Trinity Mer-mazing clear stamp set for the mermaid and the sentiments. She colored them using Tim Holtz and Stampin' up watercolor pencils. She used Rainbow Gem Stickers and silver thread for the final touches.

Wonderful grotto for your lovely mermaid - love that her hair is red (just like Ariel)! Thanks for sharing your "Vacation" card with us this fortnight at Time Out - we look forward to seeing you in our gallery again soon! Hugs Kate (DT Time Out)!
