One in a Melon: A Thank You Card! (Part 2)

One in a Melon: A Thank You Card!

Hello everyone! Spring is here and we are so excited! It's time to get ready to plant our garden and flowers! We can't wait! Happy Spring!!! We are so glad you stopped by! If you like our blog & posts we would love for you to give our blog a follow!

Let the crafting continue.... This card was so much fun to make. I was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches Sketch #727 and wanted to use this adorable stamp set I purchased last year but hadn't had a chance to craft with yet. The cute teddy bear and dinosaur enjoying watermelon is just too cute! I loved the watermelon paper and it fit perfectly with this adorable stamp set. I also decided to go with oval dies instead of rectangles to keep the watermelon theme going, the ovals remind me of whole watermelons...and of course I had to add some green glitter paper! I loved how the card turned out. Links to all of the challenges I am joining and the sketch are at the end of this post!

Here is the card:

Products I used:

  • Gerda Steiner's Melon Friends Stamp Set
  • Unity Stamps Slices of Sumer - A Watermelon Harvest 6x6 Paper Pack
  • Simon Says Stamp Black Ink Stamp Pad
  • Tim Holtz Twisted Citron Distress Oxide
  • Nesting Oval Dies
  • Altenew Cherry Blossom Enamel Dots
  • Various colored cardstock from personal crafting stash
  • Various colored pencils and fine-line markers

Here are some more photos to show some close-up details of this card:
