Have a Sweet Christmas Card!

Have a Sweet Christmas Card!

Hello everyone! Summer has arrived in Idaho! We have finished planting our raised beds and garden, doing warm weather projects and of course sneaking in some crafting where we can! Thank you for stopping by, we are so glad you did!

So it begins.... Christmas in July! My mom and I love it! We can't wait to make Christmas Cards! Fair warning... there will be a lot! haha!

This card was inspired by a fruit themed Christmas Card Swap and a Christmas Sketch! We don't have just Christmas themed fruit paper and stamps, so I combined what I had, an adorable fruit stamp set that includes fruit we love during Christmas - apples, oranges, and bananas - with fruit and Christmas paper scraps! I loved the result! I am joining a few fun challenges with this card, the links are near the end of this post! I hope you will check them out and join in the fun!

Here is the card:

Products I used:

  • My Favorite Things Sweetest Friends Stamp and Die Set
  • Simon Says Stamp Gingerbread Joy Stamp and Die Set (Sentiment)
  • Simon Says Stamp Nocturne Black VersaFine Clair Ink Pad
  • Various patterned paper from personal crafting stash
  • Various colored cardstock from personal crafting stash
  • Various colored pencils and fine-line markers

Here are some more photos to show some close-up details of this card:

A Blueberry Collapsible Column Birthday Card!

A Blueberry Collapsible Column Birthday Card!

Thank you so much for joining the new Love to Scrap Challenge! We can't wait to share what we created for the new challenge and see what you all create!! Thank you for stopping by, we are so glad you did! If you like our blog & posts we would love for you to give our blog a follow and you can check out any of our socials: Facebook, Instagram, & YouTube with the Links on the righthand sidebar!

Holly here, I am so excited to share my new project for the new Love To Scrap challenge: LTSCB #180 Anything Goes. Love To Scrap is a scrapping challenge blog that is for all types of scrapped projects - cards, scrapbook layouts, ATCs, mixed media, art/junk journals, etc! We can't wait to see what you create, so let's get crafty!

I love making fun fold cards and saw a video to make a Collapsible Column Card! It looked like a fun card to make and it is just like it sounds! The column in the middle pops up and out but collapses so the card can be put in a standard envelope! So much fun! I also love fruit cards so of course this had to be a fruit themed card! I used Lawn Fawn's fruit salad paper (on of my favorites) and Stampin's Ups!

Here is the Card:

I used:

  • Stampin' Up! Berry Blessings Stamp and Die Set
  • Lawn Fawn Fruit Salad 6x6 paper pack
  • Simon Says Stamp black ink Stamp pad
  • Stampin' Up! Misty Moonlight Ink Stamp Pad
  • Stitched banner dies
  • Various colored Markers, cardstock and embellishments from personal crafting stash

Here are some more photos to show some close-up details of this card:

I love to color, I always have! Coloring is therapeutic for me and coloring stamped images is like the adult versions of coloring books but you get to pick what images you want to color then put them on a project... and I love it! Roses always have such rich and vibrant colors and I really wanted to try to capture that vibrancy! I found and cut some patterned paper from our scrap papers collection using one of the sketches from Kendra's Card Challenges #22 as my guide for the layout! placed the colored rose image on some foam square to pop it up and stamped the sentiment. I loved how this card turned out!

Here is the card:

Some specific products I used:

  • Newton's Nook Roses Stamp and Die Set
  • Simon Says Stamp Nocturne Black VersaFine Clair Ink Pad
  • Various colored cardstock, designer paper (scraps from stash), and embellishments, from personal crafting stash
  • Various colored pencils and fine-line marks from personal crafting stash
