A Mermaid Birthday Card!

A Mermaid Birthday Card!

Hello everyone! We are loving this spring weather here in Idaho! We are in full force planting our raised beds and garden, doing warm weather projects and of course sneaking in some crafting where we can! Thank you for stopping by, we are so glad you did!

This card was so much fun to make! I love this mermaid stamp set from Trinity Stamps. I created the background with some white and blue watercolor paints, but first embossed with some white and clear embossing powders of the same stamped image. And, of course, I had to use some shiny scale-like paper and pearl embellishments to add to the Mermaid theme!  I really loved how it turned out! I am joining a few fun challenges, links below!

Here is the card:

Products I used:

  • Trinity Stamps Mermazing Stamp Set
  • Simon Says Stamp Nocturne Black VersaFine Clair Ink Pad
  • VersaFine Clair Embossing Ink Pad
  • Altnenew Pure White Embossing Powder
  • Ranger Ink Clear Embossing Powder
  • Various colored cardstock from personal crafting stash
  • Various colored pencils and fine-line markers

Hello everyone! We are loving this spring weather here in Idaho! We are in full force planting our raised beds and garden, doing warm weather projects and of course sneaking in some crafting where we can! Thank you for stopping by, we are so glad you did!

This card was so much fun to make! I was inspired by a few fun challenges, but overall this card had my dad in mind! He is quite the cook and loves to create delicious dishes! He even makes his own pasta! That's right I am pretty sure my dad is amazing! I absolutely loved using this pasta friends die set from Spellbinders! I am planning on using this set a lot along with a few others I just purchased! Plan on seeing these guys in the future! One of the challenges I am super excited about in joining is the Challenge #217 Double Trouble's 8th Anniversary "3rd Annual Celebratory Raffle Event"! You get to "pick a ticket" and create cards using the theme of the ticket you picked! For this card I picked the #2 Blue ticket - masculine or Father's Day because this Thank you card is for my dad who is the #1 cook in my life and has taught and continues to teach me all about food and cooking!

Here is the card:

Products I used:

  • Spellbinders Pasta Friends Die Set
  • Impression Obsession Many Thanks Stamp set (for sentiment)
