Watercolor Painting on the Moon in Gold & Blue

Watercolor Painting on the Moon in Gold & Blue

Hello everyone!   March has indeed come in like a Lion in southeastern Idaho. Lots of snow and rain... hoping for sunnier days ahead. But with all this snow, its a good reason to craft! PLUS its National Crafting Month! Hope you make some time to craft this March!

I got some more time to watercolor this month and I tried a couple new techniques that were fun to play with. On this painting I used a jar with paint on the rim! It was so much fun, and very similar the the atmospheric paintings I have done in the past just with a shape!

Transporting you & me to the Moon with some Prussian blue, gold and some shooting stars! The moon & night sky has always mystified me with its beauty, vastness, and mystery. I love it! I just did my take on it! I hope you enjoy and are transported to somewhere beautiful! I also did a video which is below! You can also view the video and others on our YouTube Channel

Here is the painting which I turned into a card:

I used:

  • Watercolor paints - Prussian Blue, Cerulean Blue, Black, & Metallic Gold
  • Dr. Phil Martin's Bleed Proof White
  • 140 lb. Watercolor Paper
  • Princeton Heritage Watercolor bushes- various sizes and types
  • Sea Salt

Here are some more photos to show some close-up details of the Painting turned into a card:

......and that's it!

Happy crafting to you all! We hope you feel inspired to create something!
