One Line Nativity Watercolor Painting
Christmas is over and a new year is about to begin. So excited for a new year. Every time we reach the end of the year, the exciting possibilities of the new year come into view. I love it! Another year of fun, crafting, new ideas, changes, family time, holidays and birthdays to celebrate, of course their will be hardships, trial, and challenges. But Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf once said"...Now is the best time to start becoming the person we eventually want to be." All the good and the bad helps us to become us! I hope you have a wonderful new year!
I love the holidays and I painted this very simple, one line nativity for our Nativity walk we held in our ward. I actually did a little walk through with my camera and here is the link to the video to the nativity walk I posted earlier in December: Link to Nativity Walk Video
I love to watercolor paint and one of my goals this year is to paint a bit more. It took me a bit to get this post up because I did a video with it. I needed to edit the video a bit and with the Holidays, life was a bit busy, as I am sure we all understand.
I also created a video - Link the the video.
You can also view on our all our Social Media platforms - links for those are on the side bar ---> under our bio! I will also uploaded it up at the bottom of this post.
Here is the Painting:
I used:
- Canson 9x12 cold press 140 lb. watercolor paper (I buy mine on Amazon)
- Dandilon Co Watercolor paints: Pink, Tahoe Blue, Lemon Yellow, Blush, Sepia, Honey Brown, and black.
- I also used metallic watercolor paints in a paint pan - given as a gift so I can't recall the brand. Just used colors to match pink, blue, yellow, and a white/cream.
- Princeton Heritage Brushes Sizes 8 and 6
Here is the Video on YouTube:
Here are some other watercolor painting of the nativity scenes I have also painted:"Following the Star"
"Nativity from Afar"
"There shall a new star arise, such an one as ye never have beheld"......and that's it!
Happy crafting to you all! We hope you feel inspired to create something and if you can, craft with your family and/or friends and make some fun memories together!
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
“With every new day, a new dawn comes—not only for the earth but also for us. And with a new day comes a new start—a chance to begin again. Now is the best time to start becoming the person we eventually want to be.”
